Privacy Policy for HandyApp

Effective date: July 8, 2026

HandyApp ("the app") is developed by Hao ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and who it is shared with.

Summary

HandyApp does not have a backend server. It does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. All data you enter into the app — including any photos and Contacts information — stays on your device and, if you have iCloud Drive enabled, in your own personal iCloud account. We do not collect, receive, sell, or share your data with any third party.

Information the app accesses

Contacts

HandyApp lets you link a person from your device's Contacts to an asset you're tracking (for example, recording who sold you an item or who to call for service). When you pick a contact:

Camera and Photos

HandyApp uses your device's camera to let you attach photos to your assets (e.g., a photo of an appliance or receipt).

Data you enter directly

Any text, numbers, categories, or other details you type into the app (asset names, property values, notes, etc.) are stored the same way as photos: locally on your device and, if enabled, in your personal iCloud account.

iCloud storage

If iCloud Drive is available and enabled on your device, HandyApp stores its data (asset records and photos) in your personal iCloud container so it can sync across your own devices and be restored if you reinstall the app. This storage is managed entirely by Apple under your iCloud account and Apple's own privacy terms — we do not have access to this data. If iCloud is unavailable, data is stored only in the app's local storage on your device.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect or have access to:

HandyApp does not use any third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained on your device (and in your iCloud account, if enabled) until you delete it within the app or delete the app itself. Deleting the app removes local data; if iCloud sync was enabled, you can also remove the app's data from iCloud via Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage on your device.

Children's privacy

HandyApp is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised policy at the same URL.
